PUBLICATIONS & INDUSTRY AFFILIATIONS
Founded in 1975, ASID is the oldest, largest and only multi-disciplinary professional organization for interior designers, interior design students and the manufacturers and suppliers who support the profession. Through education, knowledge sharing, advocacy, community building and outreach, we strive to advance the interior design profession and, in the process, to demonstrate and celebrate the power of design to positively change people’s lives.
Interior Designers Guild was formed in 1975 by a small group of designers that were interested in creating a network that would allow each individual to access the vast resources offered by vendors as well as share information and ideas. A library was created to house samples, catalogs and a meeting space where sales representatives could present their lines to the group. As a group, the designers are valued by manufacturers and vendors as a greater entity with greater buying power. The group also receives special attention and the latest information on what's new from top companies specializing in everything that goes into creating wonderful spaces.
Publication. Award Winning Project
Tastefully Inspired was born on a long drive down the coast of California on Highway 1 near Marin County. The goal was to spotlight some of the amazing tastemakers in the design industry. There was one huge twist. Delivering their projects and ideas to the world of the consumer in a fashion that did not seem overwhelming or snobby. Geared for the people who did not have the golden ticket to the showrooms of the world but still had the itch for that something special. In July 2017, Janine's award-winning Tuscany Clubhouse project was published. To learn about project and/or to sign up for the newsletter, select link below.

The owners of this small space needed a functional kitchen with a Tuscan villa charm. Custom cabinetry with soft close features, open reclaimed wood shelving, apron sink and the collection of Italian espresso makers create a timelessness typical of a countryside farmhouse. LED under cabinet lighting improved workability while highlighting the geometric dimensional tile. Is your tired kitchen in need of some love? Contact us today.
In this Tuscan inspired space, client requested a warm and inviting environment. The earthy color palette, layering of verdant greenery, and a combination of bronze and cooper finishes truly evoke a timelessness characteristic of an Italian villa. The wonderful mix of lines and curves is now layered into this space’s architecture and furnishings.
This multi-use space delighted our client. Small gathering areas were created within space to accommodate everyone's needs. Flat screen with integrated surround sound, comfy floor pillows, table-top games, and the newly renovated pool table add hours of entertainment. Do you love this look? We can tailor a custom look just for you. Contact us today to find out how.
OSTERLEY TEA PAVILION
Gem from the East. Pagoda Tea Bar. Design Concept: "Unfurl"
Historical preservation adaptive reuse school project. Create retail space within Osterley Park while preserving historic value. Goal was to transport guests to a far away land full of splendor, inimitable nature and mysteries inspired by a combination of Robert Adam's classic ornamentation with the chinoiserie style. Menu of fine English and exotic teas from around the world and English treats while relaxing in a lavish splendid surrounding beneath a custom Chinese inspired pagoda.
CURRENT WILLOW GLEN HOME-WINDOW TREATMENTS
Client wanted window treatments in four spaces within home: Family room, kitchen, living room and bathroom. Client wanted convenience, sun blockage, privacy, performance and of course, beauty. Challenge: It was important that the beauty of the hand crafted window moulding not be covered up. Combination of motorized roman shades and pull down shades were chosen. For maximum beauty, a layered look was executed in the sitting room by using combination roman shades with stationary panels.
